The Nocturne Candle Holder is inspired by snippets of suburban architecture, over-head power lines and precision gardening seen whilst travelling in Japan.
 
Each candle holder is individually formed by hand from lavafleck clay that has been wedged through with Red Iron Oxide and flickers with metallic specks that catch the light. White stoneware clay has been pressed into geometric scores across the surface of each Holder, and the excess subsequently scraped away, revealing neat lines across which small curiosities can be displayed. Tiny, hand-painted details of Pease Bay Clay are dotted across the surface, slightly contrasting with the lava flecks in shade and texture. Each holder is a unique shape and size, with the interior coated in a deep, metallic glaze that adds to their wintry witchiness. In all, they are light and crisp and pair well with neutral dinner candles for atmospheric, winter evenings and dinner parties.
